FAQ
Questions people actually ask.
Hours, locations, dietary menus, catering and ordering — the short answers to what we get asked most.
What are Bamboo’s hours?
All three locations keep the same hours: Sunday through Thursday, 11:00am to 8:30pm; Friday and Saturday, 11:00am to 9:30pm.
Where are Bamboo’s locations?
Crestview (the original, 2509 S Ferdon Blvd), Fort Walton Beach (9 Eglin Pkwy NE) and Niceville (117 W John Sims Pkwy) — all on Florida’s Emerald Coast. Full addresses, phone numbers and directions are on the locations page.
Do you have a drive-thru?
Yes, at Niceville and Fort Walton Beach. Crestview is dine-in, takeout and curbside.
Do you offer takeout?
Yes. Every location does takeout and curbside pickup, and you can order ahead online from the ordering page.
Is Bamboo counter service or full table service?
Counter service. Order and pay at the register, take a table tent, and sit anywhere — runners and bar staff bring food and drinks to your table from there. There’s no table-side hibachi show; hibachi, fried rolls and most appetizers come from the kitchen in back.
How do I order online?
Order from Bamboo’s current online menu, or find Bamboo on DoorDash and Uber Eats. Direct links for all three locations are on the ordering page.
Do you have a gluten-free menu?
Yes — a full separate gluten-free menu covering appetizers, entrées and rice plates, kids meals, sides, sauces, sushi, nigiri, sashimi, poke bowls and dessert, built gluten-free rather than modified from the regular menu. Ask for it at the register, and let the cashier know you’re ordering off it. Because it’s updated in store, check the current printed copy for exactly what’s available.
Do you have vegetarian or vegan options?
Yes — there’s a dedicated vegan menu; ask the cashier to order off it. The regular menu also carries vegetable options including the Vegetable Deluxe hibachi plate, vegetable yaki soba, vegetable tempura, edamame, seaweed and cucumber salads, and the Vegan Roll and Avocado Roll at the sushi bar.
Do you have a kids menu?
Yes. The Kids Hibachi Plate comes with vegetables and a choice of steamed or fried rice, with steak, filet, shrimp, ginger pork, salmon, teriyaki chicken, panko shrimp, panko chicken or vegetables — sized for little ones.
Do you cater?
Yes — hibachi platters and full sushi trays for offices, parties, receptions and events, built to order. Give as much advance notice as possible and call your nearest location to place the order. More on the catering page.
Do you have a rewards program?
Yes, Bamboo Rewards is available through the restaurant’s rewards portal. Ask at checkout about current earning and redemption terms.
What’s on the menu?
Sushi rolls and specialty rolls, sashimi, nigiri and poké bowls, hibachi express plates, rice plates, Japanese curry, ramen, udon and yaki soba — plus separate gluten-free, vegan and kids menus. Browse it all on the menu page. Current pricing is kept up to date on the ordering site.
Are there weekly drink specials?
Weekly drink specials at all three locations: Monday — half off hot sake; Tuesday — $1 off glasses of wine; Wednesday — $2 sake bombs; Thursday — $1 off select draft beer; Friday — $2 off cold sake; Saturday — $1 off canned or bottled beer; Sunday — $1.75 pints or $1.25 10 oz pours of Kirin Ichiban and Yuengling. Food specials change daily and are set independently by each location.
Who owns Bamboo and when did it open?
Bamboo was founded in October 2007 by Joe Rice and Danny Ledford, starting with a 45-seat room in Crestview. It’s still family-owned and run today across all three locations. More on the about page.
Has Bamboo won any awards?
Yes — Best Sushi and Best Japanese Food on the Emerald Coast in the Community’s Choice Awards for both 2023 and 2024, and Best of Florida, Japanese Restaurants in 2022. The full list is on the about page.
